FAQ’s | Carpet Cleaning Services Milwaukee and the surrounding areas
How soon can I walk on the carpet?
Try to keep pet, children, and heavy traffic off the carpet during the drying process. Wait 24 hours before removing styrofoam blocks or protective tabs that our technicians have placed under the furniture to protect the carpet. Some carpets may feel slightly damp for up to 18 hours depending on the carpet and soil conditions. This is normal and will not cause any problems.
How long does the carpet cleaning process take?
We are able to clean approximately 400 square feet per hour. This can vary slightly depending upon the amount of soil, how much furniture needs to be moved, specialty spotting procedures, and setup time.
What is Hot Water Extraction? (Steam Cleaning)
Hot water extraction means hot water cleaning solution, under high pressure, is forced into your carpet and then drawn out of your carpet. Some people call this steam cleaning, but the truth is, it doesn’t use any steam. Our truck-mounted hot water extraction system cleans from the bottom up, not from the top down.
How often should I have my carpet cleaned?
One to two times per year is recommended. This helps keep pollutants out of your home. The longer dirt is left on the carpet the greater risk there is of someone walking on it and tracking it throughout the home. This can create a sandpaper effect that will cause premature wear of carpet fibers.
How long will it take to clean my carpets?
On average it will take approximately 20 minutes per room. This time varies depending on how soiled the carpet is and any spot removal treatments needed.
Do I need to move my furniture before the cleaning crew arrives?
Yes/No. It is not necessary to move all furniture before cleaning. Some pieces such as book cases, entertainment centers, dressers, beds, etc. that always reside in the same place really don’t need to be moved. Furniture that is moved around occasionally when rearranging a room can be moved so that the carpet underneath can be cleaned. Our crews are professionally trained to assist in moving your furniture if needed. We do suggest you remove any breakable items from table tops, etc..
